Gotta Have

Here are some great products that got us through our first year as parents! My endorsement is in no way tied to the manufacturer. I just highly recommend trying them out for yourself!
My Medela Pump In Style was great for when I was breastfeeding.  I was one of those ladies that was blessed with a constant flow, and to pump was a must!  I loved that I had the choice to either pump one side or both.  Also, I never had a problem with crying over spilled milk because the bottles came with a base so they never fell over.  I would never have made it through my first few weeks without it...or should I say I would never want to!

Diapers! It's a trial and error kinda thing.  The best ones that worked out for Chloe were LUVS! Not to mention they were reasonably priced, they were also the only diapers that we didn't have a problem with leaks. Plus they have a great sent that helps mask those stinky diapers!
Pampers were a must for our night-time routine! We had a hard time with picking a brand that would last the night for our little one, that liked to sleep long hours.  She seemed to leak through everything until we tried Pampers Baby Dry.  They worked like a charm!

When it comes to Chloe's skin, she is very sensitive.  The old fashioned Johnson's Baby Lotion had her breaking out with rashes all over her back, chest, face and private areas.  Aveeno Baby Soothing Relief Moisture Cream contains natural colloidal oatmeal which seemed to clear her skin up within 2 days!  It's non-greasy, hypoallergenic and fragrance-free. Definitely a must have in our house!

Hylands Teething Gel was a God sent! Thank the Lord Chloe wasn't a fussy infant when it came to having fingers poking in her mouth. The gel is found in a paraben-free preservative base. Not to mention all-natural!  It's hard to believe that companies can jam so much fake stuff into things for newborns.

We stuck with the pacifiers the hospital gave us.  The First Years BPA Free GUMDROP Pacifier!  Also around 9 months or so, you can upgrade to an infant size.  The pacifier then has a thicker and stronger rubber!
